Every child deserves a school where they feel safe, inspired and excited to learn. With this belief at heart, BVS Mortgages was proud to support the EduCare Foundation’s Lassana Pasala Project in rural Sri Lanka.

The initiative is dedicated to creating brighter and more welcoming learning environments for children whose schools may not always have access to the resources they need. As part of the project, members of the BVS Mortgages team visited Embulgolla Primary School and Nuwarayaya Primary School in Wilgamuwa.

Bringing Colour and Opportunity to Young Learners

During the visits, the team had the privilege of spending time with the children and seeing their school environments firsthand. Their smiles, enthusiasm and eagerness to learn were a meaningful reminder that even a simple act of support can make a lasting difference.

BVS Mortgages contributed paint and painting supplies to help refresh the schools and create more colourful, uplifting spaces for the children. The team also provided school bags and books, giving pupils practical resources to support their education.

These contributions were about more than improving classrooms or providing essential supplies. They were about helping children feel valued, encouraged and supported as they continue their learning journeys.

Supporting Brighter Schools and Brighter Futures

We are grateful to the EduCare Foundation for giving us the opportunity to support the Lassana Pasala Project and contribute to the communities it serves. We also extend our sincere appreciation to everyone involved in making the initiative possible, including the teachers and school communities who welcomed the team so warmly.

The visit left the BVS team with many special memories and an even stronger commitment to supporting initiatives that create meaningful opportunities for children and their communities.
